Dental veneers in Kew

What are Dental Veneers?

Dental veneers are thin, custom-made shells crafted from porcelain or composite resin designed to cover teeth’ front surfaces. They are bonded to teeth to improve their appearance, providing a more uniform, attractive look.

Benefits of Dental Veneers

Veneers offer numerous benefits, including:

  • Aesthetic Improvement: Veneers can correct various cosmetic dental issues, such as discolouration, chips, gaps, and misalignment.
  • Durability: Ceramic veneers are highly durable and resistant to staining, making them a long-lasting solution for a perfect smile.
  • Minimal Invasive Procedure: The process of getting veneers is minimally invasive compared to other cosmetic dental procedures.
  • Customisable: Each veneer is custom-made to match the colour, shape, and size of your natural teeth, ensuring a seamless and natural appearance.

Ceramic Veneers

Ceramic veneers are regarded as the gold standard option for enhancing your smile. They are well-known for their strength and natural appearance, closely resembling real teeth both visually and in texture. It’s essential to ensure you’re happy with the overall aesthetics of the veneers before they’re placed, as ceramic veneers cannot be whitened once applied.

While ceramic is highly resistant to staining and boasts impressive strength, handling them carefully is essential, as they can still chip and stain.

A highly skilled dental technician in one of our selected dental laboratories creates these veneers.

We recommend these veneers when the correction is more significant or when a long-term solution is desired.

Composite Veneers

During your appointment, your dentist will create composite veneers by permanently attaching tooth-coloured material to your teeth.

We recommend composite veneers when the correction is less severe and a medium-term solution is required.

We offer two main types of composite veneers:

  1. Direct Composite Veneers – usually for one or two teeth. Your dentist applies tooth-coloured dental material directly to your teeth and then sculpts it to create the desired result. While we call these direct composite veneers, many call it dental bonding. Bonding is often an ideal and more affordable solution for clients with chips, gaps, staining and discolouration, slight crookedness, and misshapen teeth.
  1. Injection Moulded Composite Bonding – usually for two or more teeth. Injection moulded composite bonding uses a customised mould to shape your natural teeth with a tooth-coloured composite. The mould is placed over your teeth, and composite is injected into the mould. Most cases are completed in a single appointment, allowing you to leave with a beautiful new smile makeover.
